Newborn baby's 34th week: should be able to recall specific information

By week 34, your baby might be able to stand while holding on to someone or something, play peek-a-boo, tendency, clap his/her hands, creep, and maybe even get up into a sitting position from his/her stomach, or pull into a standing position from sitting.

This week you are getting ready to run to the store to pick up a few things. Your favorite sitter is there, and you take your purse, and head for the door. Separation anxiety is a normal developmental issue that may happen as early as 6 months, and often has a highest between 12 and 18 months. It may continue throughout the childhood years, recurring when there are major changes in your little one's life.

At this age, he/she won't hold the concept of travel, but he/she knows he’s (she) in an unfamiliar place. He’ll (she) probably be anxious and need distracting. So pack lots of picture book, noise-making toys, were nesting blocks, hand puppets and, of course, his/her toy or comfort object, if he/she has one. Quiet time away from noise and strangers will help him/her to adjust.

This week your baby's recall memory in action. It allows him/her to remember some details of a specific event for a little while. He/she still doesn't remember most of his/her experiences. Your baby's long-lasting, conscious memory probably won't develop until he’s (she) two or three years old.

By this week, your baby should be able to recall specific information, such as where his/her toys are kept in your home. He’ll (she) also be able to imitate actions he /she are seen as far back as two weeks previously. This week your baby encourages standing by placing a favorite toy on the seat of a sturdy chair. Show his/her that the toy is there, and cheer his/her on to get up and grab it. This week your baby has developed more coordination and strength in his/her legs and feet.
