High blood pressure during pregnancy
Blood pressure is the amount of force used by the blood against the wall of the arteries. Blood pressure is considered high when the readings are greater than 140 mm Hg systolic or 90 mm Hg diastolic. In high blood pressure contributes to the development of stroke, coronary heart disease, kidney diseases and heart failure.
          During pregnant women with high blood pressure have healthy babies without serious problems. High blood pressure can be both the mother and the fetus. High blood pressure can damage the mother’s kidneys and other organs and it can cause low birth weight and early delivery. The most serious cases the mother develops preeclampsia, it can impend the lives of the mother and the fetus. Preeclampsia affects the placenta and it can affect the mother and the baby. High blood pressure symptoms include headache, dizziness, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, hand and face swelling, visual disturbance. Another serious complication of pre-eclampsia is abruption which means the placenta separates from the uterine wall and the women proficiencies vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain.
