12th week of pregnancy: Placenta starts to function


        During 12th week of pregnancy the fetus is about 2.5 inches long. The pregnant lady heart burn is more frequent and is felt in the chest, throat and upper abdomen. This week the blood will begin to circulate in the baby’s body and uterus, and placenta starts to function.
              Pregnancy in 12th week your baby is 2½ inches long and 4-8 gram
weight. Baby’s length is 55 millimeter. This period the baby’s fingers and toes are developed. The lungs are fully formed, the liver is functioning. The brain and muscles are developed. The open and closes your eyes and mouth. Your baby’s kidneys may be developed .Baby’s heartbeats is going strong. The umbilical  cord is fully formed.

          This week they can eat a wide variety of fruits, fresh vegetables and protein. The body requires extra calories, protein, vitamins, and minerals in order to support baby’s growth.
