18th Week of Pregnancy: Your baby’s immune system is functional and begins to produce antibodies


During this week your baby is approximately 6 inches long and 190 gram weighs. In this period a protective covering myelin is beginning to form around her nerves. This covering will continue to form your baby’s first birthday. If you are having a little boy, his genital organs are developed. If you are having a little girl, her fallopian tubes and uterus have posted in correct place. Your baby face looks a human because the eyes have shifted to the front of the face and ears have reached the side of the head. Your baby’s immune system is functional and begins to produce antibodies.

                           During this week your weight gain to be 4.5-5.8kgs .This period your uterus is the size of a rock melon. This   week many women face problems of indigestion, constipation or formation of hemorrhoids. The common physical symptoms in these months are heartburn, headaches, dizziness, breathlessness, bleeding gums, leg cramps, mild swelling, varicose veins, faster pulse, backache, skin color changes, fewer mood swings, and hearty appetite.
