Newborn Baby's 39th Week Tips and Facts

During 39th week your baby is stand-alone without any support. By this week, babies will most likely try to clap his/her hands with music on and may even move his/her upper body. This week he/she is more active, more energetic and more responsive than he/she was few weeks back. He/she is now able to speak few words and even starting eating from your plate as well. 

This age, babies are able to make correct inferences about original objects, sounds, animals, and people that they have never experienced because they can fit them into categories of events that they've previously experienced. 

This week your baby can do some objects to move and change its position more quickly without your help. 


You should more aware about select his/her toys. These stage your baby getting more energetic and him/her thrown their toys and things even into your face. So you’ll be preference a lot of dropped stuff. 

Tips and Facts for your baby’s 39th week

  • Your baby can able to stand holding onto something or someone. You should develop this skill purposefully and congratulate him/her. You can help cleverly.
  • The baby can able to say his/her first words like ‘mama and Dada (cha cha)’ more clearly. The baby will develop a tendency to imitate his/her surrounding sounds especially human voice.
  • When the baby is in sitting position, he/she will try to Pull up his/her buttocks to standing position. 
  • You can play ‘peek-a-boo’ with him/her you can see your baby laugh loudly and enjoy with you. These steps may help to develop the baby’s social culture. 
During this week your baby will move quickly. You should aware about your rooms and surrounding. You must check out the house especially baby’s height level.

So you should purchase the following safety equipment for your baby’s safety
  1. Plug caps to cover electric sockets 
  2. Corner or edge cushions to cover sharp corners of furniture 
  3. Cabinet locks or latches for drawers and cupboards 
  4. Bath spout safety covers
  5. Non-skid rubber decorations for bathtubs 
  6. Doorknob guards to stop the child from opening a door that leads somewhere unsafe
