- Make sure the car seat installation conforms to ISOFIX.
- Never let any child travel unrestrained. Always strap your child into her seat with the safety harness.
- Never travel with your baby in your lap or your arms
- If your car has air bags, do not put the baby seat in the front passenger seat. Children are always safer in the back seat.
- If you have an accident, replace your seat belts, your child's car seat, and the seat's anchorage kit: they may have been damaged.
- Never buy second-hand car seats, harnesses, or anchorage kits for the same reason.
- Install a mirror on your wind-screen so that you can see your child without turning round.
- Put a 'Baby on Board' sign on your back window.
- Use a sun-blind when necessary
- Use booster seats in the back seats for older children.
